Reggie Miller Showcases the Shot

He’s still got it. Not that there was ever any doubt.

While working the broadcast booth of this weekend’s NCAA Tournament action, Reggie Miller and his coworker Rachel Nichols hung out beside an empty basketball court, waiting for one of the teams to come out for practice.

But the idea of leaving a basketball sitting idly on an empty court apparently didn’t sit well with Reggie, who picked up a basketball and started to showcase the sweet shooting stroke that made him a Hall of Famer and one of the all-time elite 3-point shooters.

While getting some shots up, Miller went a perfect 6-for-6, with his shots barely even grazing the rim as they fell through.

The best part of the video, by far, is the arena staff in the background who at first pretend to just be neutral observers before one of them lifts his arm up to demonstrate Miller’s effortless shooting motion. It was clearly a cool moment to be a part of, watching the Pacers legend knock down some jumpers, and thanks to Nichols recording it and posting the video on Facebook, we all got to be a part of it as well.

When the college kids came out for practice, Miller simply set the ball down and rolled it to the middle of a court. He knew it was their time to shoot now.
