Lance Stephenson is now a member of the Charlotte Hornets, but he reunited with a few of his former Pacers teammates on Wednesday night.
With the Pacers in town for Thursday’s preseason finale, Stephenson had dinner in Charlotte with Roy Hibbert, George Hill, and Ian Mahinmi. Also present were Pacers rookie Shayne Whittington and Director of Player Relations Heather Denton.
Both Hill and Hibbert shared a picture with Stephenson on social media. Hill wrote “GOOD TO SEE HIM TONIGHT.. ALWAYS GREAT LAUGHS WHEN HES AROUND… #MISSMYBRO,” while Hibbert said he was “Glad for him n his fam in Char.”

Stephenson also shared a picture on Instagram, with the caption “Went out to eat with my pacers Family. Miss u guys.”
Stephenson, Hibbert, and Hill made up 60 percent of one of the most dominant starting lineups in the NBA over the past two seasons. No five-man lineup logged more minutes in that time than Hill, Stephenson, Paul George, David West, and Hibbert, who combined to play an astonishing 2,685 minutes together in the regular season and another 808 minutes in the playoffs.
George and West did not travel to Charlotte as they are both rehabbing from injuries.
It will take Pacers fans a little while to get used to the sight of Stephenson wearing the Hornets’ purple and teal. And they’ll have to wait a little longer to see him face off against his former team. Stephenson won’t get a chance to play against his former team on Thursday night. Charlotte’s game notes list him as out with a right groin strain.
Lance’s return to Bankers Life Fieldhouse is scheduled for Nov. 19.
