Paul George appears on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’

California native Paul George was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live Monday evening. The weeknight program airs on ABC (WRTV-6 in Indianapolis) at 11:35 p.m. EST.

George has become a media darling. In interview sessions, which he generally likes, George provides thoughtful and articulate answers. He wears a contagious smile, is willing to have some fun and shows off his California-cool personality.

During his segment on Kimmel, George showed off his personality, sense of style (see the shoes!) and gave the Pacers (34-9) tremendous visibility on a nationally-televised show.

Among the items discussed: His outfit, picked out by his stylist and older sister, Teiosha, his 360 windmill dunk on the Clippers, Larry Bird, Kobe Bryant, and playing H-O-R-S-E against Teoisha.

George grew up about 60 miles north of Los Angeles in Palmdale. He then attended Fresno State, which is another 200 miles north, for two years (2008-10) before entering his name in the 2010 Draft and being taken at No. 10 by the Pacers.

In each of his four years in the league, George has made massive strides in his game. Last year, he emerged as a budding star in the league and was named to his first All-Star game.

Last week, the 23-year-old was voted a starter for the All-Star game — becoming just the third Pacer player to earn multiple All-Star bids. Even more impressive, he received 1,211,318 votes, the third-most behind LeBron James and Kevin Durant.

Roy Hibbert, a media-savvy veteran, has appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live twice: once via skype from his home, and another time in tweet form. Hibbert’s not the only other Pacers player to appear on late-night programming.

Coach Frank Vogel demonstrated his stupid human trick back in 1986 on The Late Show with David Letterman. Here is a 39-year-old Vogel showing that the trick has never left him.
